Hikers should be advised that the Stevensville Trailhead Parking Lot in Underhill will be closed Tuesday, August 25 – Friday, August 28 for a culvert replacement. The parking lot offers direct access to the Nebraska Notch, Butler Lodge, and Frost Trails, and connections to other trails on the west side of Mount Mansfield and the Long Trail. Hikers should plan to use the Underhill State Park trailhead in the meantime, or seek other alternate hike destinations.
Overnight hikers already parked in the Stevensville Lot will be permitted to leave the lot upon return to their vehicles, but no new vehicles may access the lot. Please do not park on the roadside and follow all posted signage.
