Side trails are listed below in two categories: if your trail is geographically located between Mass Border and Maine Junction; or between Maine Junction and Canadian Border.
If you maintain trail in the Northeast Kingdom please select Northeast Kingdom and then type in the trail you are reporting for.
Tread is the actual footpath of the trail. Examples of tread maintenance are sidehilling, de-berming, outsloping, etc…
This is the vegetative clearing which the trail travels through, occasionally requiring pruning, sapling removal, weedwhipping, etc…
If your section of trail hosts a trailhead, does your trailhead have a register box with sign-in paper?
These are signs which indicate the direction and occasionally mileage to or from a destination.
Is there a kiosk, bulletin board or birdhouse at your trailhead or anywhere along the length of the trailhead?
Please add in detail about work completed, work remaining to be completed and any other pertinent information about the condition of your trail.
Photos of blowdowns, trail issues, rotten signs, shelters, privies, etc… is always very helpful.
